When we look over someone else’s life, we are amazed, we are awed, we are emotionally bedazzled at the ordeals they survived and even thrived through. Their life was normal
for them. As your crazy adventures in life will be for you. Part of your ability to be emotionally bedazzled by the life of another is the capacity to FEEL them as they might have experienced their circumstances. They want their lives to be learned from and appreciated for whatever value you can extract of it. Please don’t let the lives of your ancestors be only a name on a family tree or a blip on the radar that fades with each generational reset. I’m gonna tell you a little secret
there is a profound superpower to be had in making the “Dia de los Muertos” an everyday occasion. Read your ancestor stories, share them with your children. Remember them. Feel them. Learn from them. Because??? Guess why, History doesn’t repeat itself, but it rhymes.

Hello, こんにづは Koneecheewah, Guten Tag, Bonjour, Yá’át’ééh, Hola...I’m Travis, your host, and this is the internationally loved Family History Drama Podcast—where family history isn’t just heard—it’s felt through dramatized experiences. If you’re looking for a recitation of dry facts, well, this might be too engaging for you. But if you’re ready to feel a Historically personal & Immersive Audio Drama adventure.
then you’re in the right place. It’ll be like an IMAX for your ears & your soul.

There are those magical discoveries when a simple family history story will cross paths with some of this world’s grandest moments. You might not think much from a single frame of time. Yet just know that the “butterfly effect” from thousands of perceptions exponentially increases the resolution for a truer HD Surround Sound perspective. From one simple intersection of history, we capture another angle, another shutter shot into a truer 3D rendering of that moment. One single frame of perception can true up, an actual perspective, if we let it. You will feel those moments with me as they are discovered. I have felt them. I have wept from heartbreak, i have stood with my jaw on the floor in sheer horror and deep humility at the mind boggling circumstances some people are called to go through.

I grew up listening to dramatized AM radio stories like those of Mystery Theater, as well as hearing storytelling legends like Paul Harvey. I believe that true stories, well told, can inspire, caution, entertain, and even instruct. Yet, we’re gonna go a little further than that. You’re not just a listener in this experience; you’re a fly on the wall, a bird in the sky, an eves-dropper, a squirrel in the nearby tree of history.

Like a good tourist of the past, we will be suspending judgment, suspending our 21st-century lens, and diving into the richness of an intimately told family history story.

At the Family History Drama Podcast you will experience fresh discoveries of little known outlaws AND originating ancestors of famous names such as McDonald. You’ll likely be shocked as I was as some little known, personal side stories of family history, reveal the blatant conspiratorial intentions of a sitting Governor, while malicious layers of incompetence aligned
allowing the assassination of a presidential candidate
without a single resulting conviction.

There will be stories of astonishing miracles from the Solomon islands happening in the wartime of 1943, to the implausible preservation of a life during the war of 1812. We will hear of the Norseman’s bloody raids into Allapae, Scotland (SCotlun) during the 12th century, and stories of hardship from the American Frontier as frail mortality rates caused unimaginable anguish on families. Even after feeling these dramatized stories it’s a struggle to process the magnitude of human emotions they must have elicited in their singular moments.

There will be told legendary & astounding dramatized stories of men & women, boys & girls. Most of these individuals will likely be unknown to you at the onset. Yet I can promise you they will not remain inconsequential strangers. These people and their experiences belong to the accumulative human story. One that we should be learning from. The more we know, the better we will be. It’ll be up to you and I to make their personally monumental journeys life altering
for us.

At the Family History Drama Podcast, we will launch some of the most unbelievably true stories off the dusty shelves of time and breathe life into them
because asJapanese animator, Hayao Miyazaki would say â€œæ™źé€šă‚’ă‚ąăƒ‹ăƒĄăƒŒă‚·ăƒ§ăƒłćŒ–ă™ă‚Œă°ă€ăă‚ŒăŻäžŠć€–ă‚ŒăŸă‚‚ăźă«ăȘă‚ŠăŸă™ă€‚â€œ Or “If you animate the ordinary it will be extraordinary!”

Family history isn’t just about the past. It’s about looking back and learning forward. So bombs away
as we drop into stories that could change the way you see yourself."
