Travis Heaton

Travis is passionate about “true stories well told”. Whether it is personal history, family history, or spotlighting the “black sheep” of the family, his storytelling is felt from riveting dramatized recreations of recorded family tales rather than through straight facts and recordings.
Travis was mesmerized in his early years by the AM radio drama, “Mystery Theatre”, and the eloquent storytelling style of Paul Harvey. His admiration for the sennachie (a storyteller of family genealogy, history, and legend) was formed by countless nights of lavish tall tales told around a campfire. Those stories were romanticized by the crackling cedar logs with its wispy smoke trails and glowing sparks spiraling up into the dark Arizona skies. Millions of twinkling stars would dance to the rhythm of chirping crickets and yapping coyotes as they serenaded the darkness.

Travis does not judge the yesterdays of history by today’s standards. To him, “presentism” is never acceptable.
